Master Scholarship in Optics in Science & Technology at Institut D’Optique Graduate School, France
Aug 26Students enrolled in the two-year programme will study in two different countries of their choice, spending one year in each and offering the opportunity to acquire 60 European Credit Transfer System units (ECTS) per year. Students are trained for technical or scientific positions in academic or industrial environment specialised in optics or using optics. PhD studies are a natural extension of the Course.
Mobility scheme: each student spends the first year at one of the five sites and the second year at one of the other four sites.
The language of instruction is English. Students are offered the possibility to learn the local language as part of the programme. Courses are taught by research staff members. The student population is multinational with a professor/student ratio of about 2.

Postdoc Position in Hydrogen Storage by Adsorption in Porous Materials at ENSTA ParisTech
Aug 17Postdoctoral Position Proposal for 2011
Topic : Hydrogen adsorption in porous materials.
The Department of Process Engineering at ENSTA is involved in the determination of the ad-sorption properties of Covalent Organic Framework materials which could be used for hydrogen storage. The main’s goal project is a development of a new media for hydrogen storage and the research associated will have an important experimental side. The first part of the work consists of the synthesis and the characterization of the materials and the second part concerns the study of the hydrogen adsorption capacity of the synthetized porous solids. The measurements of the adsorption properties will be performed at low pressures using volumetric methods and at high pressures using thermogravimetric technique (magnetic suspension microbalance).
The Joint International Master Scholarships 2011 in Rural Development (IMRD)
Aug 17The joint International Master in Rural Development (IMRD), part of the European Erasmus Mundus program, offers the opportunity to study the European vision on rural development in its diversity of approaches and applications.
The objective is to train specialists in integrated rural development, focussed on socio-economic and institutional aspects, not only from the European Union but also from developed, developing and transition countries outside the European Union through a 2 year master program (120 ECTS) jointly organised by seven European leading institutes in agricultural economics and rural development.
The Master program is offered by Ghent University (Belgium), Agrocampus Ouest (France), Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany), the University of Cordoba (Spain), in collaboration with Wageningen University (The Netherlands), the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia) and the University of Pisa (Italy). these will be joined by universities in China, Ecuador, India and South Africa.
TROPED: Master Scholarships in International Health 2011-2012
Aug 16The European Master of Science Programme in International Health is part of tropEd, a network of 33 European and 7 non-European institutions for higher education. In existence since 1996, tropEd collaborates closely with institutions in Asia, Africa, and the Americas in providing postgraduate education and training opportunities.
The European Master of Science Programme in International Health is a one year, full-time study programme taught in English excepted in Mexico (in spanish). The main objective of the programme is to raise awareness of current global health concerns. Students become qualified to identify and critically analyse key factors shaping the health and well-being of populations in low- and middle-income countries and to formulate effective and appropriate responses to complex health-related issues.
