UC International Student Undergraduate Scholarship 2011, New Zealand
Sep 01These scholarships were established in 2010 to recognise and support top achieving international students who have gained University Entrance in New Zealand and who will commence an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Canterbury. The first awards will be made in 2011.
Eligibility
The scholarships shall be awarded to international students who intend to begin their first year of an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Canterbury, who have completed or are completing a university entrance qualification, and who attended school in the year of application or nomination.
University of Canterbury Scholarships 2011 for PhD & Master Studies
Sep 01The University of Canterbury (UC) offers a number of scholarships for study towards a PhD degree or for the thesis year of a Masters degree. There is strong competition for these scholarships and applicants must have at least an A average (or the equivalent) for it to be worth applying.
To be considered for a UC Masters or Doctoral scholarship, in addition to submitting a scholarship application form, a complete application for admission should be made before or at the same time as the scholarship application is made. If admission has not been approved by prescribed dates, the scholarship application will not be considered.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for a Health Research Council of New Zealand funded PhD scholarship. The successful applicant will join an established team of researchers from Massey University, University of Auckland and Auckland University of Technology (AUT), in Auckland, New Zealand. The student will be based at the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition at AUT. The scholarship is valued at NZ $25,000 p.a. (tax exempt) for three years. A full or partial tuition fee waiver may also apply.

Edna Waddell Undergrad Scholarships for Women in Technology and Engineering
Jul 23The purpose of the scholarships is to provide funds to help women undertake undergraduate study for degrees in engineering and technology at New Zealand universities. The Scholarships will be for women entering their first year of full time study for an undergraduate degree, who have not previously studied full time at that level in technology and engineering. The Scholarships are intended for school leavers and mature women; if the latter, preference will be given to those who have worked in industry for at least three years or/and have passed sub-degree courses in technology or engineering.
