NZDS 2010: New Zealand Development Scholarships For Undergraduate and Postgraduate
Feb 27The New Zealand Development Scholarships (NZDS) scheme offers the opportunity to people from selected developing countries to undertake development-related studies in New Zealand.
This may include study related to education, health, rural livelihoods, governance, human rights, or economic development, depending on the human resource development training needs of the home government.
New Zealand -Development Scholarships are offered for full-time, tertiary level study at participating New Zealand education institutions.
The NZDS scheme has two categories:
- New Zealand Development Scholarships – Public category (NZDS-Public)
- New Zealand Development Scholarships – Open category (NZDS-Open)
[Korea] Korean Government Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2009
Feb 25Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Republic of Korea through the National Institute for International Education(NIIED) invites 150 foreign students for the Undergraduate Scholarship Program in Korea from 72 countries. Applicants who are interested in KGSP are requested to contact the Korean Embassy or consulate in their home countries.
The objective of the Korean Government Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students is to provide international students with the opportunity to conduct advanced studies at higher educational institutions in Korea in order to promote international exchange in education and mutual friendship between countries.

Feb 25Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (from now on “School”), together with the University of Strasbourg “Louis Pasteur”, announces for the Academic Year 2009-2010 a public competition for 4 PhD positions supported by a grant to participate to the International Doctoral Program in Economics. The School reserves the possibility of accepting up to a maximum of 2 further students without grant or other forms of financial support.
Ph.D. students with grants receive a monthly grant amounting to a total of € 12,500.00 post tax (and post social insurance payments) per year (see also point 3). The School also provides PhD students free access to the Canteen and facilities of the School.
[Germany] PhD Scholarship in Linguistics at International Max Planck Research School NeuroCom
Feb 24The International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) on Neuroscience of Communication: Function, Structure, and Plasticity is based at the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, Leipzig, and the University of Leipzig (Germany). The IMPRS also involves the MPI for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig, and the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at University College London, UK.
The IMPRS offers a unique interdisciplinary graduate programme to study the functional, structural, and plastic bases of human communication. Its overriding goal is to train Ph.D. students in multidisciplinary aspects involved in communicative action. Besides behavioural work, the programme draws on elaborate modern imaging techniques including a 7-Tesla MRI scanner and a 306-channel MEG system.

The Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM) is a leading centre for research across the disciplines of visual arts and ceramics, photography, film and digital media. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, according to Times Higher Education, CREAM is rated sixth out of 72 art and design research units in the UK and the top art and design research centre in London. CREAM researchers and practitioners are internationally recognised for their work in ceramic history and installation, art criticism, sculptural and architectural installation, photographic history, theory and practice, documentary and experimental film and new media arts. The CREAM doctoral programme is at the cutting edge of theory and practice based research and is a major centre for PhD by practice in the still and moving image area. We currently have an opportunity for two students to undertake an MPhil/PhD in arts, media and cultural criticism (written or practice based) on a subject of their choice.
